Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy describes how Alpha Geosystems (“we”, “us”) processes personal data when you use the Android application NAVYA Fields (package com.navya.fields), related authentication at api.alphageosystems.in, and optional project sync with Navya Sync at sync.alphageosystems.in.

2. Scope

This policy covers the mobile app and the Alpha Geosystems-hosted backends used for login and sync. If your organisation runs a dedicated Nest edge or stores survey data under its own policies, your organisation’s administrator may be the primary controller for project content; we act as service provider for hosting and app services as applicable.

3. Information we collect

Account & identity

• Email address, name, and authentication credentials / session tokens when you sign in.
• Organisation, role, and licence / entitlement information associated with your account.

Field & survey data (app purpose)

• Survey projects, points, lines, polygons, attributes, photos, and related GNSS measurements you capture.
• Device / receiver connection metadata needed for Bluetooth or Wi‑Fi pairing with a Navya GNSS receiver.
• Precise location data from the GNSS receiver and, where permitted, the Android location APIs — required for surveying, stakeout, map display, and sync.

Device & diagnostics

• App version, OS version, device model, and technical logs you choose to share for support.
• Crash or error information generated locally; this build does not use Firebase Analytics advertising SDKs for behavioural advertising.

Permissions (Android)

Depending on features you use, the app may request: Location (survey & map), Bluetooth (receiver), Camera (field photos), Storage / files (import/export), Notifications, and related foreground services for location while surveying.

4. How we use information

• Provide surveying, stakeout, measure, import/export, and receiver configuration features.
• Authenticate users, enforce licences, and sync projects with Navya Sync when enabled.
• Respond to support requests and improve reliability and safety of the product.
• Comply with law, tender obligations, and security investigations when required.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use your survey coordinates for third-party advertising.

5. Sharing & processors

• Your organisation — project data may be visible to authorised admins and teammates in Navya Sync according to roles and ACLs.
• Infrastructure — hosting for api.alphageosystems.in and sync.alphageosystems.in under our control or contracted processors bound by confidentiality.
• Legal — disclosure if required by applicable law or valid legal process.

6. Retention

Account data is retained while your account remains active. Survey data synced to Navya Sync is retained according to your organisation’s retention settings and our operational backups. Local on-device data remains until you clear app data or uninstall. After an account deletion request is completed, we delete or anonymise personal account data within a reasonable period (typically within 30 days), except where law or legitimate security logs require longer retention.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and authenticated APIs. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please protect your device and credentials.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law (including India’s DPDP Act where it applies), you may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data, or withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. Account deletion instructions: Delete account.

9. Children

NAVYA Fields is a professional surveying tool intended for adults and trained field crews. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction).

10. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date on this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
